Grab supplies around your house to work as we work or view the stream to see how we do it first and get crafty another time.
SUPPLY LIST:
- Paper Plate (the small ones work great!)
- Scissors
- Yarn/String/Fiber/Ribbon (anything that would be fun to weave!)
- Plastic Needle (optional)
OPTIONAL PREP:
The first step we will be doing is cutting 11 slits around the plate (about 1in deep). Since 11 is an odd number, I have a “template” that may help you figure out the position of the slits. DOWNLOAD TEMPLATE

How to Weave Using a Paper Plate
Prep your paper plate by cutting 11 slits into the edge
(use our template to help)Use a piece of string to warp your loom
Use an ‘over, under’ method around each warp string to start the center of your weave
Use different yarns/ribbons/fiber to continue weaving!
(tuck ends under the weaving)
When your plate is full, tuck your end under the weave and tie a string loop onto the back to hang
